Scholastic book club
Artarmon Public School participates in the Scholastic book club program.
Scholastic book club is an easy and reliable way to get your child excited about reading by building a collection of books at home.
In each brochure you will find a selection of fiction, classics, award-winning titles, all-time favourites, reference books, sports books and more. The brochure is divided into age relevant sections to help you choose a great book.
By participating in the club, you earn points for our school, which the school executive uses to purchase additional classroom resources.
How does the Scholastic book club work?
- Twice each term, book club brochures are distributed to all students via their classroom teacher.
- If you would like to buy a book (it is optional), you then make an order using the online store. Cash payments are not processed at our school.
- Once the orders are received at school they are distributed by parent volunteers to your child's teacher.
How do I choose the right type of book for my child?
There are 4 book clubs geared to different levels ranging from preschool through to Year 6:
- Wombat is for preschool to kindergarten and will nurture a love of reading
- Lucky is for Years 1 to 2, who are learning to read independently
- Arrow is for Years 3 to 4 who are beginning to make their own reading choices
- Star is for Years 5 to 6 and is designed to make reading cool and keep them reading
