Opportunity Class Program
Our school offers mainstream classes and a Stage 3 Opportunity Class program.
Opportunity Classes are for high potential and gifted students in Year 5 and 6, selected through the Department of Education Selective Education team.
Parents apply when students are at the end of Year 3 or the beginning of Year 4 for placement in Year 4. It is a 2-year program (Years 5 to 6). Parents cannot apply for Year 6 placement only.

Artarmon OC vision statement
The program is designed to meet the unique needs of high potential students by providing tailored, challenging learning experiences, ongoing formative assessment, and targeted support that nurtures their talents and fosters growth.
Through differentiated instruction, enrichment opportunities, and a focus on developing critical thinking, creativity, and resilience, we guide our learners on a purposeful journey from high potential to high performance, empowering them to achieve excellence and reach their full academic and personal capabilities.
Our highly committed staff work together to build capacity and nurture the whole student, academically, creatively, socially, and emotionally.
The OC program is more than an academic pathway; it is a vibrant community experience that enriches our entire school culture and empowers students to excel with confidence.
